Marquette's Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Igniting Hope, Marquette’s Annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony is almost here! Please join the Residence Hall Association on Monday, December 3rd at 5:00 p.m. in Westowne Square as we light the tree. Reception following with snacks and holiday-themed crafts and entertainment!

Resident Assistant Applications for the 2019-2020 academic year are now live! Please see the links below for more detailed information.

Important Dates and Deadlines:

  • Mandatory Info Session: Tuesday, November 27th | 8:30pm-9:30pm | AMU Ballrooms
  • RA Application Due: Tuesday, January 15th, 2019
  • Individual Interview Dates: Wednesday, January 23rd, Thursday, January 24th or Friday, January 25th, 2019
  • Group Process Date: Friday, February 8th, 2019 

2019-2020 Living Learning Community Applications now available

Are you interested in living with folks who share common interest and values? Marquette offers several special housing options that bring together students with common majors or common interests, both with and without required courses that are a hallmark of the living/learning programs.

Dorothy Day Social Justice Living Learning Community:

Those in the community will learn different perspectives on challenging topics surrounding race, class, gender, sexual orientation, ability, citizenship, and religion all while living together on a floor in Carpenter Tower. Nuestro Hogar:

This community seeks to create a space for the Latinx student body to come together and form a community. Nuestro Hogar intends to be an inclusive and welcoming environment for all those who value the Latinx community, culture, and identity.  The community is comprised of first- and second-year students living together on a floor in Straz Tower. All applications are open, spaces fill quickly. University Apartments Selection Process

The formal University Apartments Selection Process ended on November 5th. Space remains in a limited number of units. Instructions to apply to a waiting list can be found on the apartments website. Offers will be made on a rolling basis contingent on availability. Eligibility is limited to students who are two years removed from high school or 21 years of age as of the start of the Fall 2019 term. Questions can be directed to muuaocss@marquette.edu.

Residence Hall Break Reminders

All residence halls except Humphrey Hall and Mashuda Hall will be closed for Winter Break (December 15 – January 12).

The halls close at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 15th and re-open at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 12th.

Only those students who are permanent residents of HUMPHREY HALL and MASHUDA HALL may stay in the building over break at a rate of $30 per night.

All halls will remain open during Thanksgiving break.
