CPC Executive Board Positions

For information on the positions available on the CPC Executive Boards, click the links below. 

Chairperson

  1. Sets the agenda and runs the weekly Executive Team and Council meetings 
  2. Meets regularly with the Advisor(s) 
  3. Participates in chairperson training at the beginning of the fall semester 
  4. Assists with CPC recruitment, including planning the CPC kickoff event 
  5. Plans programming for the hall before other CPC positions are filled 
  6. Prepares weekly updates about different programs, initiatives, and other information to Council 
  7. Able to vote if non-quorum vote results in a tie 
  8. Attends TRAC 1 (fall semester) & TRAC 2 (spring semester) 
  9. Supports and attends programming initiatives in the hall 

Vice-Chairperson

  1. Responsible for running meetings in the absence of the chairperson 
  2. Responsible for working with the programming coordinators & committees to design meeting and event promotional materials 
  3. Responsible for taking minutes and finding effective ways to distribute to the hall community 
  4. Responsible for planning, creating, and implementing social media efforts for the Council 
  5. Attends TRAC 1 (fall semester) & TRAC 2 (spring semester) 
  6. Supports and attends programming initiatives in the hall 
  7. Meets regularly with the Advisor(s) 
  8. Attends Executive Team and Council meetings 
  9. Prepares weekly updates to Council 
  10. Able to vote if quorum is not met 

RHA (Residence Hall Association) Representative

  1. Responsible for representing hall at weekly RHA meetings 
  2. Prepares weekly updates about different programs, initiatives, and other information to Council from RHA 
  3. Present requests that need Council vote from RHA 
  4. Attends Executive Team and Council meetings 
  5. Attends TRAC 1 (fall semester) & TRAC 2 (spring semester) 
  6. Supports and attends programming initiatives in the hall 
  7. Meets regularly with the Advisor(s) 
  8. Able to vote if quorum is not met 

Programming Coordinators

  1. Coordinates event planning for the hall 
  2. Delegates tasks to subcommittee members comprised of Community Representatives and other residents 
  3. Submits content to be posted on social media accounts to Vice-Chairperson 
  4. Meets with Advisor(s) on a regular basis 
  5. Attends Executive Team and Council meetings 
  6. Prepares weekly updates about programs and other information to Council 
  7. Attends TRAC 1 (fall semester) & TRAC 2 (spring semester) 
  8. Supports and attends programming initiatives in the hall 
  9. i.Able to vote if quorum is not met 

 

Campaigning Rules

  1. You are allowed to make an 8”x11” poster

  2. You will be able to hang 1 poster in the lobby, stairwells and lobby bulletin board.

  3. You will be able to hang 1 poster on each floor outside of the common area

  4. You CANNOT hang posters:

    1. In elevators, on resident doors, on building doors or in bathrooms.

Important Dates for Candidates

  1. Elections are on Thursday, September 13th.

  2. Winners announced at press conference on September 14th at the MUSG office in the AMU.

  3. TRAC (Training Residents and Apartment Councils)

    1. Saturday, September 15th for JUST Chair people- afternoon

    2. Sunday, September 16th for Exec and Community Reps- 9AM-3:30 PM
