Description of Agency:

Inspired by Christ's call to serve, our mission is to provide service to those in need, to advocate for justice and to call upon others to do the same. Student Role in Catholic Charities:

The majority of our clients are native Spanish speaking.  Those applying for Asylum, “U” non-immigrant status and VAWA need detailed affidavits which must be translated into English.  The Service Volunteer would translate affidavits from Spanish into English while maintaining the clients tone.

Commitment: Service Learner needs to commit to one two-hour shift per week (not including school breaks) and one orientation with the site coordinator during their first visit.
