COA works with children, teens and parents from many backgrounds, directing their energy and ideas into constructive programs of recreation and community betterment. As a multicultural agency, COA values diversity and cooperation, and promotes growth and positive social interaction. We fulfill our mission through five core program areas: Early Education, Family Support Services, Camping, Youth Development, and Community Services.

Student Role in Agency: COA is currently in need of Marquette University Service Learners for their Riverwest Early Education Center, which offers safe and nurturing childcare to children ages 0-6, by skilled staff members with decades of experience. Activities promote both cognitive and social development in a multi-cultural setting, and ensure school readiness. This nationally accredited year-round childcare is located at COA’s Riverwest Center on 909 E. Garfield Avenue. Service Learners are needed any day Monday-Friday, any time between 9am-12pm or 3pm-6pm. Service Learners can expect to assist staff with circle time, art, recess, snack, room maintenance, reading and much more!
