Research Interests

Through interdisciplinary training in cultural anthropology, social work, gerontology, and alternative dispute resolution, Dr. Crampton examines the contingent meanings, and ongoing dynamics of professional helping by advocates and mediators in legal and social service contexts. Past research examined elder mediation in Ghana and the U.S. Current research is on U.S. child custody mediation in family court.
