What is Criminology?

Criminology (from Latin crīmen, "accusation"; and Greek-λογία,-logia) is the scientific study of the nature, extent, causes, control, and prevention of criminal behavior in both the individual and in society. Criminology is an interdisciplinary field in the behavioral sciences, drawing from a wide range of disciplines including economics, history, law, psychiatry, psychology, political science, and sociology.

What is Law Studies?

Law Studies is an interdisciplinary approach to the study of law and society. The purpose of the law studies program is to develop the study of law within a liberal arts framework and to explore the various ways in which the law is connected with other disciplines pertinent to an understanding of society.
