Sociology Faculty

The Sociology major consists of eight full time faculty and several part time adjunct faculty members. Our full time faculty conduct research in a diverse array of fields including, families, social movements, religion, sports, work and occupations, sexuality, identity, qualitative research methods and gender. Meet one of the full-time faculty members discussing her work on politics in the Church.

Dr. Dawne Moon, an associate professor of sociology gives a lecture on "Relating, "Knowing One" & Politics in the Church" during the 2009 Conference of the Covenant Network of Presbyterians, Church of the Covenant, Cleveland, Ohio.


Dr. Richard Jones, a professor of sociology delivers an acceptance speech for his Outstanding Teaching Award during 55th Pere Marquette dinner.
