Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Why should I take this training?

Guided by our Strategic Plan, Marquette seeks to foster a culture that values, respects, welcomes and promotes a sense of belonging for members of our campus and our community. We’ve made progress as an institution, but we have much more work to do. Toward that end, we’ve made a commitment to create an inclusive culture. Our commitment to diversity includes but is not limited to race, ethnicity, country of origin, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, religion and spiritual beliefs, socioeconomic status and abilities. As a part of this ongoing effort, we have partnered with EverFi to offer the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion course, to allow students to have a common understanding of terms, learn to identify unconscious bias, and to know more about our resources, affiliated offices, programs and the many opportunities that can help you navigate your experience here at Marquette.

When am I supposed to take Part 2 of this course?

As indicated in the diagram above, Part 2 of the DEI online module will be available to you 30 days after the completion of Part 1: Primary Course Content on Monday, April 13, 2020. The purpose of this is delay is to allow you to reflect and implement the information you received in the first part, before you retake the survey.
