Without any doubt, Trinity has left its mark on my life. My involvement with this fellowship program, Marquette University and Sponsor-A-Scholar Mentoring of the Milwaukee Y has not only been a distinct honor, but also a humbling developmental experience that will forever shape my outlook as I progress forward in my professional career and personal life.
Through an academic focus of developing stronger business acumen and honing my analytical skill set, I am certain that Marquette’s MBA program has me well positioned to make an impact. I am prepared to not only contribute at a high level within any organization, but moreover to become a leader spearheading the efforts of business, nonprofit and government entities alike.
As the Trinity Fellow and Communications Coordinator for the Milwaukee Y’s Sponsor-A-Scholar program, I held many roles over my 21 month tenure. My efforts surrounded coordinating internal/external communication, marketing, advertising and public relations for Sponsor-A-Scholar. Additionally, I focused on creating and executing mentor recruitment strategies while developing and implementing data-driven retention plans. I implemented a new national branding strategy and coordinated our upstart intern program. I also served as a mentor.
I have been selected as a 2012 Presidential Management Fellow with the U.S. Department of State and I will be working in the Bureau of Resource Management, Budget and Planning.
