For all programs, please note the following:



This 8-week program is designed for anyone who wants to increase their physical activity through walking or running, whether you are a beginner or an experienced walker/runner. Throughout this program will be encouraging Marquette Univeristy employees to help support breast cancer awareness by donating to the Milwaukee Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event and weekly prizes will be given. If you'd like to make a donation please click on the above link or donate to the Cancer Crushers/More Birthdays Council Team.

This program will end with a walk around the Marquette Mile or a 5K run at our annual Poker Walk/Run on May 20, 2015.

Walking Program

Whether you want to walk a 5K or 10K or you just want to increase your physical activity, then this is the program for you. We'll have a facebook page set up for you to join and connect with others on campus for informal walking groups.

Couch to 5K Program

This program is for beginners who aren't already running. A special group will be formed for Cancer Survivors as well. We will be training for our 5K event on May 20, 2015 at our Annual Poker Walk, but you can also choose an outside event if you want. A facebook page will be created to connect people who are participating across campus and to encourage informal training sessions. Participants who will be joining the Cancer Survivor Group will meet every Monday from 12-1p.m. at the Rec Plex.

Running Program

This program is for people who are already running and want to take part in our program to train for a 5K event. We'll have a facebook page to link you to other runners on campus to encourage informal training runs together as well. You can choose one of the following training plans depending on your ability or you can write your own plan.

A tracking log for all programs will be used. To be entered in to the drawing for weekly prizes, please submit your minutes each week to Kristin Kipp by Monday at noon. Feel free to track steps, time, or miles.
