Experience Düsseldorf’s summer with us, and take part in our extensive extracurricular activities, such as barbeques, summer parties, sports events and Rhine boat tours. Or just enjoy the city of Düsseldorf, which is at its best in the summer.
Düsseldorf is a multicultural city, situated on the Rhine and surrounded by nature. The Old City, or Altstadt, of Düsseldorf has numerous street cafes, beautiful and spacious parks, modern office buildings, and exclusive shops.
If you're interested in getting to know some of the many surrounding cities, we also offer weekend trips and day-long field trips to Cologne, France; Bonn, Germany; Amsterdam; or Brussels.
International German and business German language summer courses are offered for all levels. Whether you are a beginner, an advanced speaker or near fluent in German, we have the right course for you.
All course participants can use the on-campus computer facilities with free Internet service and the university cafeteria, where students can eat an inexpensive lunch. If you need accommodations during your stay, we can arrange housing. Inexpensive student health insurance is also available.
IIK Düsseldorf offers intensive German courses to students at beginning, intermediate and advanced levels. Find out more about course offerings.
IIK offers courses of varying lengths (from four to eight weeks) beginning in late May and ending in late August. Visit IIK's site for specific dates.
