Those participating in the program will join approximately 11,000 other students taking classes from the university’s seven faculties (Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering, Celtic Studies, Medicine & Health Sciences, and Law).

Class and Credit Info:
On average, students take between 5 to 6 courses per semester. Five to six courses per semester are equivalent to around 15 to 18 Marquette credits.
Grading System:
NUI-Galway does not issue grades; however, they do have a system of transferring grades to other schools. The NUI-Galway grading system is divided into “Honors” with first class being 70% and above, 2nd class, between 62%-69%. In order to meet Marquette’s transfer requirements, the student will need a score greater than 40 percent. Students will not transfer grades, only credits for the classes that meet the transfer requirements.
