Founded in 1904, the Universidad Pontificia Comillas is located in Madrid, the political and cultural heart of Spain. As an institution, the university has achieved personal growth and built a professional future in an environment of respect and personalized attention. Regarded as one of the best universities in Europe, its particular style is guaranteed by a rich tradition in the humanities and teaching, backed by the recognition of the business world and the public sector. It possesses an international environment that attracts exchange students from Europe and the rest of the world.
Currently, Comillas has 7,700 undergraduates and 4,300 students in special or post-graduate study. There are over 1,000 foreign students. Students find a friendly atmosphere in the classroom, cafeteria, and athletic activities. The students’ university experience will also be enhanced by contact with others from a variety of student associations catering to all tastes. The university itself has staff dedicated to help organize of cultural events and sport tournaments. Some of the cultural activities on campus include competition groups, debate club, choir, theatre, and expositions. Moreover, there are also classes or talleres in photography, painting, guitar, etc.
Other university services include libraries with access to over 500,000 volumes and 2,100 journals, a bookshop, a gymnasium, university pastoral services, social work unit, and guidance services concerning solidarity.

A general guidance session and reception will take place at the end of September, shortly before the start of classes, and again in February for those students who will study during the second semester.
