ESDES was founded in 1987 as part of the Université Catholique de Lyon and has quickly established itself as a leading business school in France.
Language:
Courses taught in French (several business courses taught in English during the spring semesters)
Subjects Offered:
Economics, Finance, Econometrics, International Finance, Marketing, International Business, Foreign Languages, Political Studies, Arts, Humanities, Communication, Philosophy, Theology
Courses Offered:
ESDES course offerings can be seen in the Course Offerings PDF. Coures offerings are subject to change and students should check with the International Busines office (DS 101) for the most current information.
Class and Credit Info:
5-6 courses would be a typical load. However, not all courses are worth the same amount of credits, so this number is only an estimate. Students generally earn around 15 credits.
Grading System:
Marquette’s Grading Scale is different from the Grading Scale used at ESDES. Students will transfer credits back to Marquette for those classes where the student received a grade of 11 or higher. Please note that the grades will not transfer, only the credits. The Grading Scale used in France is a numerical system that goes from 1 to 20.
