Macquarie University's student body of 25,000 includes 5,100 international students. Students can take classes in areas of study such as Business, Politics and International Relations, Education, Media and Communication, and Anthropology, just to name few. There is also an internship program open to international students who wish to acquire credits for a non-paid internship in Sydney.

Class and Credit Info:
Study abroad students are required to take between 9 and 14 Macquarie University credit points per semester. The recommended load is 12 credit points. Most units at Macquarie are valued at either 3 or 4 credit points, which equate approximately between 12 and 16 hours of study per unit per week, including class attendance, private study, library research, etc. The actual workload can vary from unit to unit and even week to week across the university.
Grading Scale:
Marquette’s Grading Scale is different from the Grading Scale used at the Macquarie University. Students will transfer credits back to Marquette for those classes where the student received a P or higher. Please note that grades will not be transferred, only the credits for those classes approved. The Grading Scale used at Macquarie University is the following
