Klingler College of Arts and Sciences 2018 Commencement

The college welcomes family members, friends and guests to celebrate the achievements of their graduates. Tickets are not needed.
- Graduates arrive at 1:00p.m. to pick up their announcement card and to assemble for the procession.
- BMO Harris Bradley Center seating will be available to families beginning at 1:15 p.m. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Ushers will be present and available to assist families and guests.
- Graduates process into the arena at 2:00 p.m. The program will include college awards and the conferral of the diploma and individual recognition of graduates. It is expected to conclude by 4:00 p.m.
- May 2018 graduates will receive their diplomas immediately following the ceremony. If you completed your requirements in December 2017 or will complete them in August or December 2018, you will need to contact the Office of the Registrar regarding diploma pickup.
Academic Apparel — place order by April 14
All graduates must order their academic apparel online at Herff Jones on or before April 14, 2018. It is required at the all university and college ceremonies. There is no charge to the graduate for academic apparel, and pick up will take place on the following days:
Tuesday, May 15: 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday, May 16: 10:00 am.- 4:00 p.m.

If the candidate cannot pick up his/her own apparel, a friend or a relative may come in his/her place. Information needed to pick up the cap and gown is the candidate's name, degree, height and college.
Undergraduates may keep or recycle their "Renew" cap, gown and tassel. These keepsake gowns are produced from recycled post-consumer plastic bottles.
Master's candidates return apparel after the college ceremony at the BMO Harris Bradley Center to designated locations. Tassels may be retained as a keepsake if desired.
Printed graduation announcements will be available for purchase in March at the Marquette Spirit Shop. For personalized and semi-personalized announcements, please visit Jostens website.
Students who are eligible to graduate and have not applied should contact Director of Student Records Pauline Thomas.
Attendance is required for all graduates for May commencement ceremonies. If you are unable to attend either ceremony (University or College), email your request to be excused.
Due to construction around the BMO Harris Bradley Center, parking near the arena will be limited. Please visit the BMO Harris Bradley parking webpage to receive current information for street closures and parking alternatives.
Park Milwaukee is another source to find additional parking in the area, along with information regarding Milwaukee Street Parking Regulations.
GradImages, the official photographer for the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences, will take individual pictures of each graduate as they receive their diploma cover on stage. A second photo will be taken just before each graduate returns to the arena floor. To order photos, you must pre-register.
Special needs seating
Seats for guests needing special accommodations are located on the second floor. The BMO Harris Bradley Center suggests dropping your party off in front
of the building on southbound 4th Street between Highland Avenue and
State Street near the Potawatomi and Northwestern Mutual Gates. Ushers will be present and available to assist families and guests.
