Instructional Staff Position in Organismal Physiology: Full-time, instructional staff position in organismal physiology in the biology program, primarily responsible for teaching, with services defined by the department at the time of appointment. This lecturer position is eligible for promotion, and salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications.

Training in Education and Critical Research Skills (TEACRS): TEACRS is designed to prepare talented scientists for successful academic careers in biomedical research. Trainees spend on average 75% of their time conductingbench research and 25% of their time in career development activities that will help them manage the multiple demands of a faculty position. Teaching skills are developed through programs involving mentored classroom assignments at minority-serving institutions in the Boston area.  The training is supplemented by workshops and seminars on teaching methods, career opportunities in academia, and essential skills such as grant writing, mentoring, lab management, and scientific presentations. The training components are sequenced to allow trainees to balance the activities and tobuild on previous experiences.  TEACRS fellows receive up to four years of salary support and a yearly travel and supply allowance.

Students continuing college enrollment in Fall 2013, particularly with majors pertinent to aquatic sciences and interest in water are encouraged to apply.

Community Health Internship Program (CHIP): This unique program links undergraduate and graduate student interns with local health departments and other health agencies throughout the area to address a variety of public health issues. Projects vary widely to suit interns interests and abilities. Health department/agency mentors provide technical support and assistance and facilitate shadowing opportunities to help interns gain an understanding and appreciation of the broad range of public health activities undertaken at the local level.

Retail Sales Merchandiser and Product Counselor: The position works out of the local Wal Mart, Home Depot and Lowes stores, however the successful applicant will be an employee of Scotts. This position is for 21-25 hours per week from February 13 through July 17, 2013. Days worked are Monday through Sunday, typically within a 8 am to 5 pm time frame, so the hours can be flexible.   The position pays $10-$12/hr based on experience, The job is available soon so time is of the essence. We, of course, provide the necessary training.
