Linda Draft
Linda Draft, M.A.

Linda retired from UW-Parkside in June of 2011.  During her 34 years at the university, Draft served in a variety of roles including athletic director, compliance coordinator and as coach of the women’s volleyball and softball teams.  In addition, throughout her career, she taught within the Health, Exercise Science and Sport Management curriculum.   

Linda brings extensive industry experience to the classroom having served on multiple National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) committees as well as, the United States Softball Team Selection Committee for the Pan American Games and the Amateur Softball Association National Rules Committee.  For her coaching and career accomplishments she was selected as one of three charter members of the National Fastpitch Coaches’ Association Hall of Fame, and is a member of the NAIA National Hall of Fame, the NAIA District 14 Hall of Fame and the UW-Parkside Athletic Hall of Fame.

Prior to entering the field of education, Linda was a pension benefit administrator for Peat, Marwick and Mitchell Accounting Firm and did electrical planning with emphasis in computerized services for the General Telephone Company of Michigan.
