Application Instructions
How to Apply
To enroll in Adult Degree courses, you must first apply and be accepted into Marquette University and the College of Professional Studies. Applications to the College of Professional Studies are accepted year round.
- Order your transcripts. Request your official transcripts from:
- the high school or institution from which you received your diploma or GED; and
- all colleges and universities you have attended.
Ask each school to mail your official transcripts directly to:

A photocopy delivered by the student cannot be accepted in fulfillment of this requirement. Only after your application is received will it be matched with transcript(s) for review and evaluation.
- Prepare an essay. An essay is required as part of your application and admission into the College of Professional Studies. Prepare your essay in advance of beginning the online application process and save it to your computer. You will be prompted to upload the file in the appropriate place on the application. Click here for some tips for writing your college essay. Please remember to add your name, address, and contact information (phone and email) to the essay.
- Please prepare an essay in response to the following: At Marquette University we believe all of our students should "Be the Difference." How does achieving a Marquette education allow you to be the difference? Consider all aspects of your life; family, community, workplace, etc.
- Complete the online application. Be sure to fill in the fields marked "required." Submit the form by clicking on "Submit Application" at the bottom of the screen. Clicking "Submit Application" is the equivalent to signing Marquette's application for undergraduate admission.
- Application fee: All applications must submit a $35.00 non-refundable application processing fee.

The Admissions Committee from the College of Professional Studies will review your credentials, and you will be notified of the decision by mail, in writing.
