Application instructions

How to apply

To enroll in adult degree courses, you must first apply and be accepted into Marquette University and the College of Professional Studies. Applications to the College of Professional Studies are accepted year round.

  1. Order your transcripts. Request your official transcripts from:
    1. the high school or institution from which you received your diploma or GED; and
    2. all colleges and universities you have attended.


    Ask each school to mail your official transcripts directly to:

    PLEASE NOTE: For a transcript to be official, it must be received by the College of Professional Studies directly from the records office of your high school and college(s). A photocopy delivered by the student will not be accepted. Only then will your application be matched with your transcript(s) for review and evaluation.

     
  2. Prepare an essay. An essay is required as part of your application and admission into the College of Professional Studies. Prepare your essay before beginning the online application process and save it on your computer. You will be prompted to upload the file on the application. Click here for essay-writing tips. Please remember to add your name, address and contact information (phone and e-mail address) to the essay.
  3. Answer the following in your essay: At Marquette University, we want our students to Be The Difference. How does receiving a Marquette education allow you to Be The Difference? Consider all aspects of your life: family, community, workplace, etc.
  4. Complete the online application. Be sure to fill in the fields marked required. Submit the form by clicking "submit application" at the bottom of the screen. Clicking this button is the equivalent to signing Marquette's application for undergraduate admission.
  5. Application fee: All applications must submit a $35 non-refundable application processing fee.

The CPS admissions committee will review your credentials, and you will be notified of the decision in writing by mail.
