ESSENTIAL MANAGEMENT SKILLS      1.5 CEUs

Essential Management Skills is a challenging, thought-provoking examination of the basic activities performed by managers and professionals in all organizations. It is a challenging look because it asks you to think critically about your competencies in the basic areas of management: success, communication, decision-making, motivation and leadership. It is thought provoking because it places you in difficult, realistic situations that force you to re-examine your basic assumptions about management skills. In this course, we will focus on the major tasks facing managers in organizations and will examine fundamental tools and concepts necessary for management effectiveness. Participation and experiential learning will be emphasized throughout the program.
