Before entering an academic position, Dr. Sherman worked for several years at the Department of Public Health in Boston, Massachusetts as a program analyst reviewing large projects for health care systems. Dr. Sherman was president and CEO of a mid-size home health agency from 1983-1985 and also occupied a position as senior vice president for a large health care system in Massachusetts for five years.
In addition to teaching and delivering seminars to diverse groups of health professionals on topics in organizational behavior and management and consulting to health organizations on a limited basis, she is also currently pursuing a life-long passion with her work. Eileen Sherman is the owner and operator of Hidden View Farm LLC, a boarding stable for retired show horses from all over the country. She has also completed training as a professional chef at Biro Culinary School. She currently owns a culinary company Live To Eat LLC, which provides culinary classes to home chefs as well as corporate team building cooking classes to various businesses in and around Wisconsin. Eileen has also completed culinary fellowships in California and Lucca, Italy.
