Who is it for?

The specialization is designed for working professionals are preparing themselves for leadership positions in public service organizations and in the community.

The program is geared toward those who want to excel in citizenship and community development. It balances practical skills with a value-based foundation — so you can become a dynamic member of your organization and your community.

Curriculum

To earn a master's degree in public service, you must complete a total of 36 credit hours of course work.  A student must complete 18 semester hours of public service core courses and 12 hours in your specialization. 

Additionally, you need to earn 6 credit hours in completing a master's thesis (Plan A) or an integrated capstone project (Plan B).
