PUTTING GLOBAL TO WORK: HOW TO UTILIZE YOUR INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCES FOR POST-GRAD OPPORTUNITIESTuesday, April 9 | 5-6:30pm | OIE Program Center – 4th Floor Holthusen Hall This workshop will assist study abroad alumni and students with other international experiences with: Incorporating the experience into their application process (resume, cover letters and interview conversations; Exploring post-graduation opportunities abroad and considering careers that have a global impact; Learning about international post-graduation opportunities from professionals in the field or former international volunteers. Cover Letter and Resume Writing for International StudentsWednesday, April 10 | 3:30-4:30pm | OIE Program Center-4th floor Holthusen Hall Learn the guidelines for writing effective resumes and cover letters for the U.S. job market. If possible, bring a copy of your current resume and/or a copy of a cover letter that you have written to this session. This event is limited to 24 participants and professional dress is required. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS CAREER WORKSHOP SERIES: H-1B and Green Card processFriday, April 12 | 1:00pm | OIE Program Center – 4th Floor Holthusen Hall Mr. Bob White of Masuda Funai Law Firm will be providing guidance to International Students and Faculty about how to navigate through the complicated U.S. immigration maze in order to obtain H-1B and permanent resident status. Mr. White will also be discussing potential changes to the U.S. immigration system which may affect legal immigration for international students and faculty. Telling Your Story: Interviewing Skills for International StudentsWednesday, April 17 | 3:30-4:30pm | OIE Program Center, 4th floor Holthusen Hall) Become familiar with the interview process in the US and develop your interview skills during this hour workshop! Specific emphasis will be placed on identifying and articulating the unique qualities and skills that you as an international candidate possess.
