  • During my first year on campus, I’d like to connect with students and new colleagues, and take in some Marquette basketball victories!
  • I’d like to connect with colleagues interested in some of the same questions that we study in economics, but who approach these questions via different methodologies.
  • I’d like to learn more about the history of Marquette University and the city of Milwaukee.

Kent BelascoKent Belasco

  • During my first year on campus, I’d like to settle in and embrace the academic culture of the university and contribute to the stellar reputation of the school.

Kurt GeringKurt Gering
Management
Instructor

  • During my first year on campus, I’d like to connect with colleagues across campus interested in exploring how we may leverage cross-classroom collaboration in our course work using an inter-disciplinary approach. For example, I teach a graduate and an undergraduate course in project management. Is there perhaps an engineering class involved in a project that would find value in having my students create and manage the project plan?
  • I’d like to connect with colleagues interested in sharing the ways they have integrated service learning and community engagement into their course work.
  • I’d like to learn more about integrating Ignatian spiritually and pedagogy into my course work.

  • I’d like to connect with colleagues interested in having conversations about interesting research ideas that challenge assumptions and push the boundaries of existing literature.
  • I’d like to learn more about how Marquette can engage and partner with the broader Milwaukee community to bring our research and teaching implications to life.

Dave WangrowDavid Wangrow
Management
Assistant Professor

  • During my first year on campus, I’d like to further develop and refine my teaching skills, publish at least one (if not two) articles, and develop supporting relationships with faculty members and other staff at Marquette.
  • I’d like to connect with colleagues interested in Marquette basketball and other Marquette sports, golf, travel (especially internationally), leadership, and helping students develop.
  • I’d like to learn more about university tenure process and how it works with the College of Business Administration and other colleges, benefits (including contact information), online systems for managing classes (e.g., Blackboard), resources and policies for dealing with student issues at Marquette, and library resources (e.g. Google Scholar, search mechanisms within library) to support academic research.
