Wisconsin Covenant Scholars Grant (WCSG)

Eligibility criteria

  1. Resident of Wisconsin as determined by State of Wisconsin Higher Educational Aids Board (HEAB)
  2. Undergraduate
  3. Must not possess a bachelor’s degree
  4. Must have signed the WI Covenant pledge in 8th grade, completed the pledge requirements, and be certified as eligible by HEAB. The last year the pledge was available was 2011.
  5. Enrolled at least half-time
  6. Must demonstrate financial need
  7. Must be making satisfactory academic progress

Amounts and selection process

Awards range from $250- $1,500 per academic year. The state of Wisconsin funds the program, selects eligible students and determines the amount of each student’s grant.

  1. File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid

Renewal process

Award is renewed when application is complete and eligibility requirements are met while funding is still available.  WI Covenant Scholars Grant can be received for a maximum of 8 terms.

Wisconsin Covenant Foundation Grant (WCFG)

Eligibility criteria

  1. Resident of Wisconsin as determined by State of Wisconsin Higher Educational Aids Board (HEAB)
  2. Undergraduate
  3. Must not possess a bachelor’s degree
  4. Must have signed the WI Covenant pledge in 8th grade, completed the pledge requirements, and be certified as eligible by HEAB. The last year the pledge was available was 2011.

  6. Must demonstrate financial need
  7. Must be making satisfactory academic progress

Awards range from $1,000-$1,500 per academic year. The WI Covenant Foundation funds the program, selects eligible students and determines the amount of each student’s grant.

Renewal process

Award is renewed when application is complete and eligibility requirements are met while funding is still available.  Due to limited funding, WCFG will not be available beyond 2013-14.
