6. E-mail scams targeting Marquette e-mail accounts

Scam and phishing e-mails have recently targeted Marquette University e-mail accounts. These e-mails may appear to come from an official source, but are an attempt to fraudulently lure users into disclosing their username and password or other personal information.

Marquette University will not ask for personal information via e-mail. Be wary of clicking on links to what appear to be legitimate Web pages.
