Brooks Lounge

Brooks Lounge

The Brooks Lounge is the game room located in the AMU. Named after the form student union at Marquette, Brooks Hall, Brooks Lounge incorporates several features of the old union.

Brooks Lounge offers an opportunity for guests in the AMU to unwind by shooting pool and darts, playing arcade games, relaxing in our living room setting complete with a big screen TV or checking out board games for free use. The Brooks Lounge offers two large screen TVs.

The Brooks Lounge also serves fountain soda, nachos and popcorn. In addition, individuals that have access to the Marquette network from a laptop can sit and surf the web. Brooks Lounge also has a computer on which guests can browse the internet or update an assignment.

Besides the mentioned services, the Brooks Lounge offers programming activities throughout the academic year, including ACUI qualifying billiards tournaments, Texas Hold’em Poker tournaments, hearts tournaments, live music and nights with free popcorn, soda and board games.

Brooks Lounge is home to the Box Office Express DVD rental machine. The machine is stocked with up to 700 movies and is very competitively priced. A membership card is not required to rent movies, although it is recommended. Individuals without a membership card may rent movies by simply using a credit card.

Commuter Update E-mail List

We want to keep all students up to date with what’s happening on Marquette’s campus and in the surrounding Milwaukee community. For this reason, we have created an e-mail list specifically for Marquette’s Commuter population. Every two weeks we will send you an email with up-to-date information on community events and current issues that may be affecting you and anything else that we think is important. The email will also contain information on any upcoming Commuter Student Association events. Your feedback is always appreciated, so if you feel something needs to be added, feel free to contact Corey Lansing in the Office of Student Development at (414) 288-7205 or at corey.lansing@marquette.edu.
