Christian Leadership Program

The Christian Leadership Program is a collaborative effort between Campus Ministry and the Office of Student Development, providing incoming students an outlet to meet other new students with similar interests and to discover opportunities for growth and action at Marquette.

Approximately 50 incoming students who share a desire to put their faith and leadership potential into action in their new Marquette environment gather for a retreat experience prior to New Student Orientation, followed by regular gatherings during the semester. Guided by the Marquette mission, students will reflect upon their leadership skills, trace their faith development, meet new people with similar interests from diverse backgrounds, and build a strong foundation from which to begin their Marquette career. Experienced student leaders guide these discussions, activities and prayer opportunities to help students identify their own skills and reflect on how God has been walking with them on their life's journey. Guest faculty, administrators and young alumni talk about their own faith and values and the ways the Marquette experience creates a fertile environment to explore life's most important questions. Together with the team leaders, the group continues the conversations and friendships during the school year, gathering regularly several times per semester for reflection, continued team building, and service opportunities.
