Staff members from a variety of campus departments will be available to answer parent questions about their students’ upcoming transition to Marquette.
Panelists will include staff members from:
Office of Student Development/Dean of Students
Office of Residence Life
Department of Public Safety
Student Health Service
Financial Aid/Billing
Office of the Registrar
Academic Support
Counseling Center
Parents Association
A parent of a current Marquette student
Panelists can field questions about housing, safety, alcohol and drugs, academic support, making friends, homesickness, student employment, health, and financial management. Panelists can also help you with ideas for how to have potentially challenging conversations with your student about some of these topics. For specific questions about your students’ class schedule or advice regarding your students’ major or career plans, please encourage your student to contact his or her adviser or college office directly.
Parents can participate by logging on to the chat on this page at noon on Monday, July 23rd or 6:00 pm on Tuesday, July 31st. You can also receive an email reminder for the event by registering today! You are encouraged to submit your own questions or simply observe the chat. A full transcript of each chat will be posted to this website following each event. For more information, or if you are experiencing technical difficulties, please call the Office of Student Development at 414-288-1412. We hope to “see” you there!
In the meantime, you can watch a replay of our previous parent chats.
