Upon completion of our undergraduate program, all students will be able to:
- Understand the fundamental principles that apply to all physical systems.
- Construct mathematical models of physical systems and evaluate their intrinsic limitations.
- Measure characteristics of physical systems employing best practices and safe techniques.
- Evaluate measurement error using statistical analysis techniques.
- Demonstrate computational literacy in the context of data analysis and modelling
Students who have completed a major in Physics will be able to:
- Write competitive applications for graduate school and technical job opportunities.
- Apply physics principles to solve real-world problems.
Students who have completed a major in Applied Physics will be able to:
- Demonstrate competency with targeted engineering subject matter.
- Apply coursework to practical experience in a specific, targeted field.
Students who have completed a major in Biophysics will:
- Be prepared for medical school and MCAT exams
- Be familiar with field-specific instrumentation and its applications
