I am in my first year as a graduate student in the clinical psychology doctoral program. I graduated Hendrix College in Conway, AR with my Bachelors of Science in psychology in 2009. My research interests center around prejudice and stigma in LGBT populations and the factors that either help or hinder people in overcoming those negative experiences. Currently, I am working with Dr. Ed. de St. Aubin on my Master’s thesis, studying a lesbian population, focusing particularly on how religious beliefs, experiences, and affiliations might influence these women’s levels of internalized homonegativity and overall well being. I hope to continue this line of research for my dissertation. When I am not focusing on psychology, I enjoy running, skiing, and exploring Milwaukee. Though it has been an adjustment to move here from the South, the warm people and the beautiful scenery have made it a very pleasant transition. I’m definitely happy that I made the move!
