The Department of Public Safety maintains a daily log that records, by the date the incident was reported, all crimes and other serious incidents occurring on campus, within non-campus buildings or properties, on public property or within the department's patrol boundaries. The daily log is available for public inspection at the department's headquarters, located at 749 N. 16th St.

The daily log includes the nature, date, time and general location of each crime reported to the department, as well as the disposition of the complaint, if the information is known at the time of publication. The department posts incidents in the Campus Crime Log within two business days of receiving a report and reserves the right to exclude reports under certain circumstances. The below listed incidents have been forwarded to the Milwaukee Police Department.

ON CAMPUS

#13-0391          Theft; Occurred and reported Thu., 4/4/13 at 8:12 p.m.  A student reported that unknown person(s) removed his unsecured, unattended property from the Union Sports Annex.  DPS located and verbally detained a suspect and he was taken into custody by MPD.  The student’s property was recovered.

OFF CAMPUS

#13-0393          Prowling; Occurred and reported Fri., 4/5/13 at 2:17 a.m.  A person not affiliated with Marquette was prowling in the 1800 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue and was verbally detained by DPS and taken into custody by MPD.

#13-0394          Sexual Assault; Occurred Fri., 4/5/13 between 12:01 a.m. and 12:45 a.m.  Reported Fri., 4/5/13 at 2:20 a.m.  A student reported being sexually assaulted by an acquaintance in the 1600 block of W. Kilbourn Avenue.  MPD contacted.

#13-0371          Possession/Consumption Of Alcohol:  Underage; Occurred and reported Fri., 3/29/13 at 7:22 p.m.  An underage student was in possession of alcohol in the 1400 block of W. Wells.  MPD notified.

#13-0372          Theft; Occurred and reported Fri., 3/29/13 at 7:48 p.m.  A person not affiliated with Marquette removed property from a business in the 1600 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue and was taken into custody by MPD.

#13-0373          Hit & Run Accident; A vehicle driven by an unidentified driver struck a vehicle driven by a person not affiliated with Marquette in the 1800 block of W. Clybourn causing damage to a city light pole and university property.  Est. damage to university property is $2,000.  MPD, MFD and DPW contacted.

#13-0375          Burglary; Occurred between Wed., 3/27/13 at 6:30 a.m. and Sun., 3/31/13 at 10:00 a.m.  Reported Sun., 3/31/13 at 10:47 a.m.  A student reported that unknown person(s) removed his unattended property est. at $320 from a residence in the 2100 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue.  MPD contacted.
