
Senior Military Instructor
Master Sergeant Gordon Larsen was born in Marshall, Minnesota 13 September 1972 and entered the Army on 10 OCT 1993. He attended basic training and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO and graduated as a 12B Combat Engineer.
Master Sergeant Larsen has served in a variety of assignments, which include; 2nd Engineers, Camp Castle, Korea; 19th Engineers, Fort Knox , KY; Recruiter, Ontario Recruiting Station, Ontario OR; Squad Leader, 41st Engineer Battalion, Fort Drum NY; Squad Leader, 5th Engineer Battalion, fort Leonard Wood, MO.; Platoon Sergeant, 3rd BSTB, Fort Drum, NY; Drill Sergeant, Fort Leonard Wood, MO.; Division Engineer Cell NCOIC, 4ID, Fort Carson CO.; First Sergeant, 2nd STB, 4ID, Fort Carson, CO. Also, Master Sergeant Larsen previously served in three campaigns, Operation Iraqi Freedom I, Operation Enduring Freedom VI/VII and Operation Enduring Freedom XI/XII.
Master Sergeant Larsen’s military education includes the Primary Leadership Development Course, the Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course, the Advanced Non-Commissioned Officer Course, Air Assault School, Recruiter Course and Drill Sergeant School.
Master Sergeant Larsen’s awards and decorations include; The Bronze Star with V device, the Bronze Star (3rd oak leaf cluster), Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (4th oak leaf cluster), Army Achievement Medal (6th oak Leaf Cluster), Driver Badge, Air-Assault badge, Combat Action Badge, Recruiter Badge (silver), Drill Sergeant badge and the De Flury Medal.
Master Sergeant Larsen is married with two children; Wife Cassie, Daughter Emielia and Son Gordon.
