SFC McIntyre initially enlisted in the Army 15 July 1987.  He attended OSUT at Ft. Bliss, TX as a MANPADS Crewmember (Stinger Missile).  SFC McIntyre was honorably discharged in July 1991 and went on to receive his bachelor degree with a double major in Sociology and Psychology, and a minor in Substance Abuse Education.  SFC McIntyre Reenlisted into the Army on 30 Nov 2001 attending OSUT at Ft. Benning, GA as an Infantryman.

SFC McIntyre has served in a variety of assignments to include; Stinger Missile Team chief, 3-4 ADA, Ft. Bragg, NC; Team Leader/Squad Leader/Bradley Commander, 2-2 IN, Vilseck, Germany; Small Group Instructor, 7th Army NCO Academy, Grafenwoehr, Germany; Senior Intelligence Analyst, 2-28 IN, Grafenwoehr, Germany; Platoon Sergeant/Assistant Operations Sergeant, 1-2 IN, Schweinfurt and Grafenwoehr, Germany.  SFC McIntyre has previously served in five campaigns; Desert Storm/Desert Shield, 1990-1991; Kosovo, 2002-2003; OIF II, 2004-2005; OIF VIII-IX, 2008-2009; OEF XI-XII, 2011-2012.

SFC McIntyre’s military Education Includes the Warrior Leadership Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Senior Leaders Course, Total Army Instructor Course, Small Group Instructor Course, Combat Lifesaver, Airborne School, Small Arms Master Marksman, and the Safety Officer Course.

SFC McIntyre’s awards and decorations include; Bronze Star (V Device) (2 OLC), Army Commendation Medal (4 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (6 OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal (4th Award), Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal (1 BS), Southwest Asia Service Medal (2 BS), Kosovo Campaign Medal (1 BS), Afghanistan Campaign Medal (1 CS), Iraq Campaign Medal (3 CS), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 3), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (Numeral 8), Saudi Arabia Liberation of Kuwait Medal, Kuwait Liberation of Kuwait Medal, NATO Medal (1 BS), Presidential Unit Citation, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Valorous Unit Award (1 OLC), Meritorious Unit Award (1 OLC), Combat Infantry Badge, Parachutist Badge and Silver Schutzenschnur.
