From the Desk of the PMS –
December 2006

Hello from Marquette University. The fall semester is well underway and the Golden Eagle Battalion is thriving thanks to the efforts of our outstanding cadets and supportive cadre. This past August, we welcomed 34 freshman cadets into the battalion. This is a dedicated, hardworking, and enthusiastic group of men and women who are already making a huge difference in the excitement and level of commitment by cadets in the battalion. However, there is no question who is running the battalion this year. The senior class, lead by CDT Scott Hinz, is doing a fantastic job setting and maintaining the standards in the battalion. The fall ’05 FTX was a great success as were the Battalion Dining In and Ranger Challenge competition. This year’s Marquette Army ROTC Ranger Challenge team won first place in the 9th Iron Brigade. I am very proud of all the fine accomplishments by the cadets in the battalion and I hope you are, too.
