Transportation:By bus: walk to Wisconsin and 14th. Take the 14 bus towards 14 Southridge and get off at Bow and Pearl and walk about a minute to St. Martini. By car: head west on Wisconsin Ave, turn left on N 17 Street, turn left onto Clybourn St, turn right onto 16th street, 16th street turns slightly left and becomes Cesar E Chavez Drive and St. Martini will be on the left.

Description of Agency/Activities: The mission of St. Martini Lutheran School is to provide a safe Christian school focused on educational success, leadership development and spiritual growth. St. Martini Lutheran School was established in 1883 and serves the Hispanic community on Milwaukee’s near south side. St. Martini Lutheran Church contracted LUMIN in 2009 to operate the school and work together to accelerate the growth of Christian education in St. Martini’s neighborhood. Total enrollment is 219 students, including more than 200 that participate in the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program.
Student Role in Agency: Students will be volunteering in the after school program. St. Martini Lutheran School serves a Latino population grades K4-8. Service Learners would be tutors and mentors to the students along with assisting in games and activities.
Commitment:Orientation and training, plus one after school program per week
