Description of Agency/Activities:
COA Youth & Family Centers helps Milwaukee children, teens, and families reach their greatest potential through a continuum of recreational, social work, and educational programs offered through its Riverwest Community Center. COA works with children, teens and parents from many racial and ethnic backgrounds directing their energy and ideas into constructive programs of recreation and community betterment. Operating out of the Riverwest Community Center, the Family Center engages families with children ages birth - 6; the licensed Child Care Center focuses on children 6 weeks - 12 years old; and the Pre-Teen and Teen Programs are held for young people between the ages 7 - 18.
Student Role in Agency:
Commitment: 2-4 hours per week for the duration of the semester.
