Description of Agency: La Causa has many services which strengthen and assist families. The Family Resource Center serves its immediate neighborhood of predominantly Hispanic families with a variety of recreational and supportive services. The Family Center is crisis-oriented, serving families and children of diverse ethnicity from Milwaukee County with a crisis nursery, respite services and parent support services. Family Resource Center (Greenfield location) is designed to partner with families by helping them grow and learn together. The Center provides programs that promote healthy interactions between parents and children, including support groups, workshops, play groups, skill building programs, the Nurturing Program, Dad's Program, home visits, and a toy and book loan library.
Nurturing Program at La Causa FRC
Mondays, February 7 - April 25
4:30pm-7:30pm
Background working with children or in a Social Work/Education type field.
Duties will include light meal preparation, clean-up, and social/emotional interaction with children of various ages.
Crianza at La Causa FRC

Commitment/Requirement: Orientation, plus 3 hours per week.
- Must continue service learning throughout the entire semester, especially with childcare.
- Students must dress professionally - NO Flip Flops.
- If you have not already completed Marquette's Working With Minors training, you must do so after Sign-Up Night. More information will be available at Sign-Up Night.
