By bus: Take the #14 bus from 12th and Wisconsin or 16th and Wisconsin. The bus will head across the 16th street viaduct, continue south down Cesar Chavez Drive (16th Street), and turn right onto W. Forest Home Ave. Disembark at W. Forest Home Ave. and S 18th Street. Walk three blocks south to the site, on the corner of 18th Street and Lincoln Avenue.
By Car: Take 16th Street south to Lincoln Ave. Turn right on Lincoln. School is two blocks down on the left hand side of the street. The school is located on 18th and Lincoln.

Description of Agency: Lincoln Avenue School is an elementary school (K4-5) on Milwaukee's southside. This Milwaukee public school is committed to engaging students with challenging and meaningful curriculum, monitoring progress towards standards, and providing interventions so all students will learn and achieve. Lincoln Ave. serves a primarily Hispanic student body. There are specific bilingual classrooms and bilingual curriculum to assist students in learning to write and read in both Spanish and English. The school also offers an ESL class for school parents.
Students will have much opportunity to speak with native speakers. Let the site contact know this at orientation so that you will be placed in a bilingual classroom.
