Primary School Location
Address: 2819 W. Richardson Place
By car: Head west on Wisconsin Ave. to N. 28th Street. Turn right on N. 28th Street. Turn left onto Richardson Place.
By bus: Take the #31 west from campus 14 stops to Highland Street and N. 29th Street. Walk 4 minutes.
Orientation: Set Up Individual Time
Days/Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 2:30-5:30pm
Story School Location
Address: 3815 W Kilbourn Ave.
By car: Head west on Wisconsin Ave toward N. 12th Street. Turn right onto N. 37th Street. Take a slight right to sta on N. 37th Street. Turn left at the 2nd cross street onto W. Kilbourn Ave.
By bus: Take the #30 west from campus 14 stops to N. 35th Street and Kilbourn Ave. Walk 3 minutes.
Orientation: Set Up Individual Orientation
Days/Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 2:30-6pm
Description of Agency/Activities: The mission of this thriving community center is to aid neighborhood individuals and families to improve the quality of life for themselves, their relatives, their neighborhood and their community. Services are designed to promote self-sufficiency and build solutions to problems which create barriers to education, and economic and personal growth. A variety of educational, cultural and recreational services are offered at the agency. Service Learners may work with children, teens, seniors and entire families. Neighborhood House has a helpful staff and a diverse population of children and youth who are attentive, challenging and enthusiastic about almost any activity.
Student Role in Agency: Varies according to program. Male Service Learners are especially needed. Service learners will assist 13-17 year olds in Math, Science, English and History.
