Classes cancelled tonight and tomorrow; university closed tomorrow until 4:30 p.m. due to weather

Marquette University will be closed from 4:30 p.m. today, Jan. 27, through 4:30 p.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 28, due to the severe weather conditions in the greater Milwaukee area. All classes are cancelled during that time period. Evening classes will resume tomorrow night. Classes that begin before 4:30 p.m. today or after 4:30 p.m. tomorrow will be held as scheduled.

Limited campus services, including Public Safety, Facilities Services, the Rec Plex, the Rec Center, the Marquette University Medical Clinic (formerly Student Health Service), Information Technology Services, the Alumni Memorial Union and University Dining Services, will remain open. The Raynor Library will close at 9 p.m. tonight and re-open at 9 a.m. tomorrow.

News Briefs is published for Marquette students, faculty and staff every Monday and Thursday, except during summer and academic breaks when only the Monday edition is published. The deadline for the Monday edition is noon Friday. The deadline for the Thursday edition is noon Wednesday. Highest priority notices as determined by university leadership are also sent periodically.
