Dr. Timothy G. McMahon
Department of History
Tim McMahon is an expert on Irish and British history, the history of popular culture, and the creation of national identity. He enjoys sports—particularly baseball and golf—and traveling, especially when his wife, son and daughter can come along. This past year brought a number of firsts—his first full-length book, the kids’ first trip to Disney World, and the family’s first Brewers playoff game. A Milwaukee native, McMahon attended college at Washington and Lee University (in Lexington, VA) and graduate school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has been a member of the Marquette faculty since 2001.
