Dr. James Courtright
Department of Biology
Dr. Courtright has been at Marquette since 1970 and is returning as a seminar leader for fall 2010. Over the years, he has taught graduate and upper level undergraduate courses in genetics, gene regulation, and bioinformatics and genomics. His scientific interests include the factors associated with new ways of formulating and stating scientific ideas. He has a long term interest in the humanities and encourages students to use the resources of the Haggerty Museum of Art. Outside of the classroom, he enjoys music, theater, opera, and nature photography and the cartoons of Gary Larson (The Far Side). And, not the least, he enjoys academic advising and helping students throughout their Marquette years.
