Dr. Jason Meyler
Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures
Professor Meyler began his career at Marquette in 2005 and teaches Spanish in the Foreign Languages and Literatures department. Born in Bogotá, Columbia and raised in New Jersey, he has studied at a variety of universities in the United States and abroad. His research and teaching interests include the genres of US Latino/a culture (in Spanish, English, and Spanglish), Latin American visual culture and American popular culture. In addition to meeting and advising new students, he looks forward to leading discussions that challenge student's thinking process in an engaged university atmosphere. In his spare time he enjoys playing with his three children and dog, roasting his own coffee, and cooking with his wife, a French instructor at Mt. Mary College.
