Dr. Ed de St. Aubin
Department of Psychology
Dr. de St. Aubin is a Psychologist who studies human lives over time and in context. To examine the context of lives, he has investigated the influence of family dynamics, culture, and historical time period. One approach he takes to exploring personality development is to analyze the autobiographical stories people tell him. It is this interest in life stories and the manner in which people talk about themselves that fueled his desire to lead an Introduction to Inquiry group. He has become increasingly interested in understanding the adjustment that emerging adults make during the first year at a university. His off campus life includes cycling, the Blues, working with prisoners and ex-offenders to prevent crime, fatherhood, and trying to keep their dog, Nellie the Weimaraner, well exercised.
