For the past 48 years, the Division of Student Affairs has presented leadership awards to recognize student contributions to the mission and activities of the various student affairs areas.
In 2015, the Student Leadership Awards were re-envisioned to include a wider variety of leadership engagement that spans across the campus community. Students can be nominated by faculty, staff, and their peers. Students who are nominated are informed of their nomination and invited to provide a resume and response as part of the nomination process. A selection committee comprised of university staff and faculty representatives review nominations and make award selections. Awards are presented at a program held each year in April.
