In addition to her role as a Health Educator, Becky served as the Secretary for the American College Health Association's (ACHA) Health Promotion Section from 2010-2011 and currently serves as ACHA's Primary Delegate to the Coalition of National Health Education Organizations (CNHEO).

Prior to working at Marquette University, she served as the Community Outreach Coordinator for Mental Health America of Wisconsin, and as a Community Education Specialist for The Women's Center, Inc.

Julie Bach

Office Assistant

Prior to joining Marquette University, Julie worked for more than five years in Care Coordination, serving several major insurance companies including Blue Cross Blue Shield, CompCare, and United HealthCare.  In her last three years in Care Coordination, she was a team leader for a group of individuals who handled escalated internal issues, often including executive complaints and Insurance Commissioner Inquiries.

During this time, Julie took part-time classes at MATC for several years, focusing on health care; she anticipates finishing her degree with the adult learning classes offered here at Marquette.

In 2007, Julie became the Office Coordinator for the Marquette Neighborhood Health Center.  This was a great opportunity for her to increase her knowledge of health care and live Marquette’s mission of helping the underserved within the Milwaukee community.  While working for the Neighborhood Health Center, Julie had the opportunity to attend different workshops, and in 2009 she received a program certificate from the Living Well with Chronic Conditions Program which is offered by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.

Joining the Center for Health Education and Promotion as the office assistant in the fall of 2010 became the ideal way for Julie to build on her base of health care knowledge within the University while changing her focus now to the student population.

Outside of work, she enjoys being creative in photography, drawing and painting.  Julie also likes to garden and travel with her family.
