Smoking damages nearly every organ in the human body, is linked to at least 10 different cancers, accounts for some 30% of all cancer deaths, and costs billions of dollars each year. Yet one in four Americans still light up.
Tobacco use contributes to a wide range of health related issues, and it is the number one preventable cause of illness today. Choosing to cease tobacco use is an important, yet difficult, decision.
CESSATION SERVICES
The Center for Health Education and Promotion offers tobacco cessation services at no cost to students. Individual support is available by contacting the Center for Health Education and Promotion at 288-5217.
