Walk A Mile In Her Shoes

There is an old saying: "You can't really understand another person's experience until you've walked a mile in their shoes." On Sunday, May 6, 2007, Walk a Mile in Her Shoes®: a Men's March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault & Gender Violence asked men to literally walk one mile in women's high-heeled shoes. The Walk was a fun opportunity for men to educate their community about sexual violence, and to raise money for community organizations that provide services to survivors of sexual violence.  Proceeds from Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® stayed in the Milwaukee area, benefiting the Sojourner Truth House, Jewish Family Services, and the Task Force on Family Violence.

The shoes.

The first guy to strap on a pair.

Five guys who really got into the spirit of

the walk.

Same five guys, hamming it up.

We had nylon footies, but most of the guys

wanted to wear their socks!

First guys to finish the walk.  It only took them

about 15 minutes.  Seriously.
